The Grocery Games of Raleigh is a unique way we gather food to donate to the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina. The Grocery Games is a race to see which contestants can place the most food items into their shopping carts as possible, during a 2 minute game. During our 2018 Grocery Games events we were able to donate 4,525lbs of food to help needy families. Thank you for showing your support and purchasing a t-shirt!
Thousands of families whose children receive FREE breakfast and lunch benefits during the school year do not have the means to provide their families with 3 daily meals during the summer months. The food we donate to the Food Bank of Central and Eastern NC will benefit their FREE summer meal program, to feed those families in need.
Contestants will be given a grocery list before the game begins. When the buzzer goes off they will have 2 minutes to place as many items into their shopping carts as possible. The top 3 contestants who gather the most items will win a gift card ($50-$150). All of the items placed into these carts will be purchased and donated to the Food Bank of Central and Eastern NC.
