Dealing with loss can be difficult. But it doesn't have to be done alone. Call today to schedule your appointment and let the healing begin.
Although death is usually the most common event that causes us to experience grief, it is not the only form of loss. Loss can include health deterioration, divorce/separation, relocation, loss of social status, loss of comradery when entering the civilian world from the military, among many others. Understanding that it is ok to feel grief due to these losses is where we begin the healing process.
Recognizing the stages of grief helps you to identify which stage you are currently in. Grief is not something you get over. It is something you get through.
Have you isolated yourself so no one knows you're grieving? Do you feel like no one understands what you are feeling? Do you feel alone?
If you answered "Yes" to any of the questions above then group sessions might be for you. Interacting with other individuals who can relate to your feelings is a great way to work through your grief. Grief can be a lonely process. But it doesn't have to be.
Life coaching is a great tool to help you get through your grief and make plans for your future.
One of the most difficult stages of grief is depression. Depression is one of the leading causes of suicide. According to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, 121 people commit suicide daily in the United Sates alone. It is the 2nd leading cause of death among teenagers and the 10th leading cause of death in the USA. The Huffington Post reported “By 2030 depression will outpace cancer, stroke, war and accidents as the world’s leading cause of disability and death, according to the World Health Organization.”
JRV Consulting, LLC is on a mission to lower these suicide statistics by offering grief and loss life coaching to individuals who are experiencing grief.
